Pick a theme! This makes the planning process a lot easier when it comes to invitations, games, and décor. Get the birthday-honoree involved in the planning process and choose a theme that reflect his or her interest(s).

Start early! Get everything that you need together at least two months in advance to avoid last minute scrambling. This includes invites, thank you cards, menu, and games.

RedStamp-April-Blog-CandyGet creative! We love matching invitations to the theme of the celebration. Not only is it a great way to spark a bit of excitement from the guest, but it also sets the tone for the party.

Tip:: for guests who are more tech-savvy, a digital invite gets the job done too!

Organize a team! Make a to-do list of all the tasks that need to be done and delegate like no other. Don’t be afraid to accept help from friends and family.

Simple eats! Party food should be fun and simple. Have a variety of dishes to choose from. Also, don’t forget to check in with parents in regards to food allergies or dietary restrictions.

Say ‘thanks’! Your guests will love a good ol’ fashioned, handwritten note from the birthday child. It’s from the heart, thoughtful and a fun and easy lesson in appreciation and gratitude. Check out our tips on ‘thank you notes’ for kids here.
