Home (n) The place in which one’s domestic affections are centered.

There are so many sentimental references to where we reside. Why is the case? It’s simple, really.

No matter the community, type of dwelling or number of members, home is our haven. It is the place where we create a physical environment to reflect our personality. I believe this is why looking for + finding a new home is so exciting. Color. Style. Unique flair. Quirky touches. It is a reflection of yourself.

Of course, home is also where we welcome others for gatherings. Where memories are made. Laughter is shared. Life is lived.

Plan a Housewarming Party | Red Stamp

This is all top of mind because I recently planned a *housewarming party* for Timothy + Maggie.

Throwing a housewarming party for a loved one is one of the simplest events to plan. Think about the new homeowners. What sort of gathering would they like to introduce their friends + family to their new home? Keep in mind the surroundings will most likely be fairly sparse. Keep it simple. Pizza is always a hit as it works well with paper plates and there is little to no clean up for the exhausted new homeowner. For a dessert we made parfaits with lemon cheesecake, strawberry shortcake and chocolate oreo {These can be made in paper cups as well!}

For decor? Bright tulips and pops of yellow + green to welcome spring and guests into their new home.Plan a Housewarming Party | Red Stamp

SNEAK PEEK :Since they both are new to their neighborhood, I did some research and put together a “welcome book” with things to do and handy resources. Check back on the blog next week for a template to create your own!
