The very first thing I do when I sit down at my desk on Monday morning is write out thank you's for the weekend past. It's always a fun way to start the day + week because I get to relive all the best moments of hanging out with friends. In addition to the hostess notes, I just finished a fun note to a couple who in addition to being wonderful friends, always bring such fun things over when they come to our house. This time, tropical flowers + a thoughtful treat for my 5 year old. Since they are headed out of town on Friday I thought it would be a great opportunity to just touch base, wish them a great trip + let them know that they are truly appreciated.
